I Love Dental Floss – Dentists love Dental Floss and why you should too!
You only need to floss the ones that you need to keep’ I think it is the joke of the industry and everybody uses it. Still, there’s something crucial in the statement.
In the auto, at home watching TV, and naturally every evening after a good and exhaustive brushing. If you are not in love with dental floss, then you possibly do not understand not only how critical it is for good oral cleanliness but also how great it makes your teeth feel. Consider teeth like boxes stacked up against one another. 2 sides show while 2 sides are against one another. Not too much, right? Brushing alone simply is not enough to get to the plaque from the interior surface between your teeth. These are the places where cavities are also certain to develop. Daily flossing however, cleans out the plaque before it completely hardens, keeping your teeth looking better, and more fit, and removing a major reason for dragon breath. Drumroll please……So Enter Dental Floss and the process of flossing. Dental floss looks simply like thread, generally made of inorganic material like nylon. My personal fave is mint flavored waxed. Pull off two feet of floss.
Hey, it’s inexpensive and it makes the job far easier. Next, wind one end around your index finger 2 times. The trick here is to wind it around enough that you can pull the long end and it will not slip off your finger. When only starting out, use any teeth that you are comfy reaching. Now once the floss is between your teeth, use it like a little brush and pull it against one tooth and move it up and down between the teeth then do the other tooth surface. Eventually pull the dental floss out from between those 2 teeth. You should feel a little tug and a snap as the floss frees itself from between the 2 teeth.
Often with a good build up of plaque, this snap will release tiny pieces of white like goo. Next, wrap another 2 inches of floss around your index finger, grab the long end again with another centimeter or two of clean dental floss and you are prepared for the following teeth. Personally, I will do many teeth before I want to’freshen’ my floss. Flossing leaves your mouth feeling clean and fresh without the necessity to synthetic breath fresheners. If done right with healthy teeth and gums, flossing will not on its own cause your mouth or gums to bleed. Bleeding can occur however if you incidentally push the floss into your gums to hard.
Don’t fret though, a quick wash with cold water will generally look after everything. Flossing can be addictive.
